Training programmes

Communicating and experiencing the specific aspects of the natural environment is a precondition for more people to develop a thoughtful and considerate approach to the needs of nature.

A high standard of information is to be provided on the subject in the framework of an initiative launched by the Environmental Ombudsman to train multipliers (protected area staff, nature conservation officers, agriculture teachers, nature guides, etc).

The Environmental Ombudsman is also responsible for organising a nature guide training course (a joint project run by the regional authority and the Tyrolean Tourism Board, the local tourist offices, the Tyrolean nature parks and, for Nature Watch, the Swarovski Optik company). This is an initiative of the Tyrolean Environmental Ombudsman in cooperation with the Liaison Office for Tyrolean Protected Areas and agricultural schools.

Every year the Tyrolean Environmental Ombudsman offers a changing and varied continuous education programme. More...
